Some of you will be in the right age bracket to know the song "what a day for a day dream, custom made for a day dreaming guy…" some of you won’t so I just sang it for you!
I like the words in the song and, since I’m a purveyor of words, and ponderer of things, I did both today. I’ve had a day of processing life, how we connect, dis-connect, re-connect: death, what it means, why some seem to leave too soon and others too late. I was pondering because my niece’s fiance died yesterday before reaching his 27th birthday. He’d had cancer and had battled it for three years: he did not give up, he did not give in, he is missed, he was loved.
So, if today had been my last day I’d have been ok with it but I’ve got a lot more living to do before I run out of life. That led me to the song but I changed it a little bit in consideration of the passing of Aaron.
"What a day for a day. Dream."
If you had a magic wand and one wish what would it be? What’s the reason you’re waiting for the magic wand instead of going ahead with that dream right now? You have a day: dream: go: do:….for some it’s already too late.
